boliao questionaire no.2

sorry, am downloading stuff and want to be doing something else. since doing other uesful things like much needed housework or getting ready to go to work are not exactly enticing, and taking a pee will only a few minutes, i thought i'd inflict another silly questionaire on you.

1. when you enter a lift, do you press the button on the level you want to get to first or the door close button first (assuming there's no need for the door open button)?

me: door close button

2. what's your stock response when you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of having someone else's baby thrust in your face?

me: oh, s(he)'s got such nice smooth skin. (very safe so far when avoiding telling a lie)

3. when you make yourself a butter and jam sandwich, do you consistently spread the butter or jam side first? if so, which one?

me: gee, it's been awhile since i made myself one of these and do not know if i have an anal pattern for making them. it will be interesing to see if anyone has an answer to this tho'.

4. what's your preferred breakfast beverage in the past when you were a legitimately stupid young punk and now, when you're a dull working adult unconsciously playing out your designated role in propping up the capitalistic system?

me: in the past - gin. had to settle for just smelling its aroma in days when gin and finacial supplies were low. now - coffee with milk and no sugar.

5. are there books which you enjoy reading but are apologetic about reading them for some curious reason or other?

me: the literary works of jean paul sartre - cos we had such a bad experience with his 'being and nothingness'. and because i don't want to be thought of as a stupid pretentious geek.

The level button.

"How adorable!"

3. when you make yourself a butter and jam sandwich, do you consistently spread the butter or jam side first? if so, which one?

Jam, 'cos it's easier to spread.

4. what's your preferred breakfast beverage in the past when you were a legitimately stupid young punk and now, when you're a dull working adult unconsciously playing out your designated role in propping up the capitalistic system?

Then: Milo
Now: Coffee

the level I want to get to
(I’m sure there’s a psychological reading in this somewhere)

2. what's your stock response when you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of having someone else's baby thrust in your face?

I think you should check for jaundice

3. when you make yourself a butter and jam sandwich, do you consistently spread the butter or jam side first? if so, which one?

I have never made a butter and jam sandwich but I have done permutations of kaya, butter, peanut butter and nutella, and consistently applied the denser spread first, which is usually butter.

4. what's your preferred breakfast beverage in the past when you were a legitimately stupid young punk and now, when you're a dull working adult unconsciously playing out your designated role in propping up the capitalistic system?

Tea with sugar and condensed milk (I’m lactose-intolerant)
Tea with sugar and condensed milk (I’m still lactose-intolerant)

5. are there books which you enjoy reading but are apologetic about reading them for some curious reason or other?

chinese kongfu novels. Some people will look to see if I might be holding them upside-down or if there are english translations in them.

By the way, here’s some iPod news in the papers today, since u don’t subscribe.

(1) iPod nanos has been acknowledged as a must-have of all celebrities and will be given to all nominees and hosts of the Grammy awards.

(2) the Apple shop at Orchard Cineplex opened yesterday offering iPod nanos at 60% discount to the first 200 customers!...hyak hyak hyak... Don’t worry, you can get back at me when I’m well and truly poor and still attempting to get a new pda.

alf and karen:
i'm appalled at the suggestion of some kind of logical consideration in your answers to qn 3.

alf: tom clancy???

re: ipod promo. blooooooody hell! anyway, i doubt i'd be among the 1st 200 customers. doubt i'd even bother to drag my ass down to the shop knowing the massive human jam there'd be. anyway, my sis just got me a posb subcard - since i refuse to work enuf to be a principal credit card holder. my mum already informed me that the card had arrived and for me to go home to sign it at the beginning of the week (b4 i got my nano). i only just got it today and one of the perks...5% rebate at apple shops which would have saved me more than $20 (also got some accessories).

lift - level first.

baby - so cute, how old already... this is usually true. have only seen one ugly baby and thankfully it was photos only.

sandwich - butter, not so much because it is thicker, but it is creamier and hard to spread on jam unless you want to bite into lumps of butter.

breakfast drink past - hot water
breakfast drink now - tea
am lazy to put milk in stuff.

banned books - memoirs of a geisha, because it was the book celeb airheads were reading. also movie adaptations.
